Simultaneous segmentation and reconstruction: A level set method approach for limited view computed tomography

Purpose: An iterative tomographic reconstruction algorithm that simultaneously segments and reconstructs the reconstruction domain is proposed and applied to tomographic reconstructions from a sparse number of projection images.
